Boron Nitride (BN) – A Multifunctional "Universal Lubricant"

* Material Properties: Hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) has a graphite-like layered structure with excellent lubricity; it also has good thermal conductivity, excellent electrical insulation, is chemically inert to almost all molten metals, and is easy to machine. Its oxidation resistance temperature can reach 900℃, and it can withstand high temperatures of 2800℃ under nitrogen protection.

• Application Background:  

• High-temperature solid lubricants and release agents;
• High thermal conductivity fillers for thermally conductive plastics/rubbers;
• High-voltage, high-frequency insulating materials; vacuum aluminized evaporation boats; and nuclear reactor structural materials.
